Commemorative China - 'Governor Macquarie' Rose and 'Elizabeth Macquarie' Iris
The 2010 Macquarie Bicentenary is celebrated with the launch of Commemorative China by Hawkesbury City Council. The china is a lasting memory of the Bicentenary of the fifth Governor of the Colony of New South Wales, Lachlan Macquarie, who had a lasting link to the Hawkesbury area where he named five towns.
The Commemorative China also celebrates the official launch of the 'Governor Macquarie' Rose on 14 April 2010 by Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, Governor of New South Wales and the 'Elizabeth Macquarie' Iris on 10 October 2010 by Councillor Bart Bassett, Mayor of Hawkesbury, in honour of the partnership achievements of Lachlan Macquarie and Elizabeth Macquarie.
The Commemorative China consists of the rose series and the iris series and features botanical artwork of the 'Governor Macquarie' Rose and the 'Elizabeth Macquarie' Iris, by award winning artist Elaine Musgrave on Wedgwood China - Plate, Platter and Mug. China comes with Limited Edition Certificate of Authenticity. Use links in this paragraph to view the china.
