WIN a Macquarie Dictionary and Winners

Hawkesbury City Council gave away five Macquarie Concise Dictionaries (fifth edition) as part of its activities for the Bicentenary year.  The Macquarie Dictionary takes its name from Lachlan Macquarie, the fifth Governor of New South Wales, 1810-1821.  Governor Macquarie named five Macquarie Towns in 1810 in the Hawkesbury area (Windsor, Richmond, Castlereagh, Pitt Town and Wilberforce).

And the Winners are….

Winners of the Macquarie Dictionary will be invited to attend the Official Opening of the Exploring Representations of Macquarie Portraiture Exhibtion at Hawkesbury Regional Gallery on 10 December, 2010 to be presented with their dictionaries.
