Hawkesbury City Council is represented by twelve Councillors who are elected by the Hawkesbury people to serve the community.

MISSION: To create opportunities for a variety of work and lifestyle choices in a healthy, natural environment.
COUNCIL MEETINGS: Ordinary Council meetings are held on the second Tuesday (except in January) and the last Tuesday (except in December) of the month, or as otherwise determined by Council. Meetings start at 5.00pm, conclude by 11.00pm, with a break at 7.00pm. To address the meeting on an item in the business paper you need to fill in an application form (available from Council's reception, Manager Administration and Governance on 4560 4426) and submit it before 3.00pm on the day of the meeting.
Councillors, as well as important documents such as the Management Plan, Business Papers, Code of Meeting Practice, Annual Report and Council Meeting Guide for each of the Council meetings and other reports and publications. Hawkesbury City Council's Code of Conduct outlines the requirements of behaviour for Council officials in carrying out their functions. It is based on the Model Code of Conduct issued by the Department of Local Government in December 2004 and applies to all Councillors and Council staff.
