EOI No E00001 - Expression of Interest Licence to Manage Irrigated Land
Expressions of Interests (EOI) are sought for the Management of Irrigated Land on behalf of Hawkesbury City Council and will be received up to 3pm on Tuesday, 23 January 2018.
The Licence provides an opportunity for the lease of irrigated land (approx. 38ha under irrigation) for the purpose of an income producing crop. The land borders South Creek, Windsor Road and Hawkesbury Valley Way and the wastewater treatment plant ponds at McGraths Hill Treatment Plant.
The land has been used for many years as irrigated pasture; originally growing Lucerne. Previously the harvested product has been bailed and on sold (approximately ten cuts per year). In December 2017 an area of 27ha of the land was replanted with Lucerne and other grasses poisoned.
Irrigation water is unlimited and is treated wastewater from McGraths Hill Treatment Plant. Council intends to maintain the irrigation system at its expense.
The property is available for immediate occupation, subject to relevant statutory approvals for the proposed use.
The proposed lease terms are included in the Tender documents which are available at Council’s Administration Building at 366 George Street, Windsor from Tuesday, 19 December 2017 for a non-refundable fee of $100 (incl. GST) or available free at WSROC e-tendering website.
EOI submissions may only be submitted by the means described in the EOI documents and must be received by the closing time. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Please note there is a compulsory site inspection to be held at 10am on Thursday, 11 January 2018 at the McGraths Hill Treatment Plant at 10 Mulgrave Road, Mulgrave.
The canvassing of councillors will automatically disqualify the applicant from the evaluation process.
