Proposed Adoption of the 'Policy regarding Payment of Expenses and Provision of Facilities to Councillors'

Under the Local Government Act, 1993 Council is required to review and adopt its Policy for the Payment of Expenses and Provision of Facilities to Councillors each year. Section 253 of the Act also requires that public notice of the proposed adoption of the Policy be given.
 
The proposed Policy is now on public exhibition until Thursday 30 October 2014. It may be viewed at Council's offices during normal business hours, or online.
   
Copies of the Policy may also be obtained from Council's website or by contacting the Manager Corporate Services and Governance on (02) 4560 4426 or council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au
 
Submissions on the proposed Policy are invited and will be received by Council until 5:00pm on Thursday, 30 October 2014. Submissions should be addressed to the General Manager and can be mailed to PO Box 146, Windsor NSW 2756, or emailed to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au.
 
Any comments about this proposal may contain information that is personal, such as information that identifies you, etc., for the purposes of the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act, 1998.
 
The purpose of collecting this information is to assist Council in obtaining the views of the residents. The information may also be made available to third parties in accordance with the relevant legislation.
