State Environmental Planning Policy (Infrastructure) 2007 (SEPP Infrastructure)

SEPP Infrastructure has been introduced primarily for the purpose of facilitating the development of State infrastructure.  This policy covers a wide range of infrastructure, such as schools, telecommunications facilities, electricity generating and solar energy systems specifying when particular works may be undertaken as complying development in certain zones.

Apart from infrastructure projects SEPP Infrastructure enables the carrying out of certain electricity generating and solar energy systems that do not fall within the exempt development category within this policy.

If the development is to be undertaken under SEPP Infrastructure the following links detail the type of electricity generating and solar energy systems that may be undertaken as complying development under this policy:

• General requirements for complying development
• Wind turbine & solar energy systems
