School Presentations
Primary Schools Education
A FREE Waste Education Program is offered to primary schools in the Hawkesbury where an EnviroCom Australia® Environmental Educator, on behalf of council, can visit your school and deliver presentations covering various waste minimisation topics.
Presentations are delivered by experienced environmental educators and provide up-to-date relevant information about recycling and other key waste issues. Presentations can be adapted to suit your needs and year levels.
The presentations on offer for the 2013 school year are:

- Recycling Rules
- Being Resourceful
- It’s a Wormy World
- The 3 R’s
- Litter Litter Everywhere - NEW
- Caught on Composting - NEW
You should book early as the program is very popular and spaces are limited. Fill out the Expression of Interest Form and fax it to EnviroCom on 02 9724 3715. You will then be contacted to arrange a suitable date and time for your school’s presentation.
High Schools Education
The School Environmental Management Plan (SEMP) Assistance Program 2012 is available to high schools within the Hawkesbury Local Government Area. Schools have identified they would like to minimise waste; however other commitments and priorities often make this difficult. With the School Environmental Management Plan Assistance Program for Waste Minimisation, schools receive guidance from a dedicated EnviroCom facilitator and auditor to assist in investigation, development, planning and implementation of sustainable waste minimisation strategies.
The program includes a number of stages as follows:

- Stage 1 Application process and meeting
- Stage 2 Baseline waste audit
- Stage 3 Develop a Waste Minimisation Action Plan
- Stage 4 Implement the Program
- Stage 5 Six month audit assessment
- Stage 6 Review and recognition
The following High Schools are undertaking the program for 2012/2013:
- Bede Polding High School
- Richmond High School
- Windsor High School
If your High School is interested in participating in the 2013/2014 program, fill out the SEMP Expression of Interest Form and fax it to EnviroCom on 02 9724 3715.
