Items accepted at the Waste Management Facility
Items Accepted For Free
Recyclable items list below DO NOT incur a charge as long as they are in a separate designated load; i.e NOT mixed with waste:
- Kerbside recycling materials (plastic household bottles and containers, cans, aluminium, glass bottles and jars etc)
- Rigid plastic household containers from the kitchen, bathroom or laundry (not the garden shed)
- Paper and unwaxed cardboard
- Milk, detergent and juice cartons
- Predominantly metal items
- Car bodies (metal)
- Sump oil (to be poured into the designated holding tank)
- Cooking oil (to be poured into the designated holding tank)
- Automotive batteries (lead acid)
- LPG gas bottles (up to 9kg sizes only)
- Drums (through the DrumMuster Program, you will need to call to book)
- Mobile phone’s and their accessories
- Printer cartridges
- Corks
- CDs and DVDs
- Household Batteries
Items Accepted At A Cost
Other items accepted that DO incur a charge and should be sorted:
- General domestic waste
- Building / construction / demolition / renovation wastes (bricks, concrete etc) separated and deposited to correct locations
- Polystyrene or insulation (expanded plastics or synthetic mineral fibre)
- Vegetation
- Mattresses
- Tyres motorbike/passenger car or smaller (maximum of 5 tyres per load)
How can the Fees be paid?
Payments can be made by cash, EFTPOS, Mastercard, and Visa in person. All loads are pay as you go; multiple loads are all paid as you go for each transaction.
