From the Mayor's Desk

Mayoral Column

I hope to see you this Saturday, 17 February at Richmond Swimming Centre’s Pool Party from 11am to 2pm. We’ll have plenty of fun activities for everyone, not to mention free entry on the day.

Our fun activities will include a dunk tank (I’ve always been a water baby and I’ll definitely be having a  go), water slide, maze jumping castle, craft activities, giant games – Chess, Lego, Connect 4, Jenga, outdoor games – tug-o-war, sack races, three legged races, water and spoon races, helmet bucket challenge and a balloon artist.

Council is sponsoring a free sausage sizzle (expertly cooked by the Rotary Club of Richmond – thanks Rotary!), free entertainment, free giveaways for the first 100 people and even free snow cones!

This is another Council event designed for our community to get together and celebrate summer. It’s a great reason to leave your technology at home to jump into your local pool. Bring your family and friends!

Located at East Market Street, Richmond, Richmond Swimming Centre has three pools including a six lane Olympic pool, a shaded children’s playground, a kiosk and a half-court basketball area.
