About the Awards:
The Hawkesbury Australia Day Awards acknowledge outstanding citizens of the Hawkesbury. Several of the awards categories recognise long term commitment and significant one-off contributions to the Hawkesbury.
Nominations are invited for individuals and community groups who address the selection criteria of one or more of the nine categories listed below. Nomination forms should provide as much details as possible to assist with the judging process. Nominations must address the applicable category criteria listed below.
All nominees must meet the following essential criteria to be considered
- must be residents of the Hawkesbury or non-residents must have significantly contributed to the Hawkesbury community.
- have not previously received the award.
Nominations close on 5pm Friday, 2 November 2018.
Unsuccessful nominations can be resubmitted in subsequent years.
Nominators automatically go in the running to win one of five $100 Coles/Myer gift cards, with a limit of one prize per person. Winners will notified after nominations close in November.
Nominee's, nominators and their guests are invited to attend Council's Australia Day Award Ceremony held on Australia Day – 6pm Friday, 25 January 2019 at Governor Phillip Park. Awards will be presented by the Mayor of Hawkesbury, Councillor Mary Lyons-Buckett and Council's Australia Day Ambassador.
Invitations will be issued by Council in early January with full details of the event.
