Hawkesbury City Council is asking residents to give their assessment of Council�s performance, and of 49 identified services and facilities.

Fire at Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium

A small fire occurred at the South Windsor Indoor Stadium at approximately 5:45pm last night (Thursday 19 November) which was contained quickly but has caused damage to part of the amenities area.

Woolworths staff donate 2,300 trees

In an initiative to reduce their carbon footprint, 100 Woolworths staff planted 1,200 plants throughout Yarramundi Reserve on Saturday 31 October 2009. An extra 1,100 trees were donated for future planting, bringing the total number of trees donated to 2,300.

A new destiny: Pound puppy finds great home and national fame

Jack was probably saved from an untimely death last year when Belinda Cameron chose a pet dog from Hawkesbury City Council�s Companion Animal Shelter. Not only does he now have a happy home but, after winning a national competition, he has reached celebrity status.

New time for Council Meetings

As from 10 November 2009 all Council Meetings at Hawkesbury City Council will commence at 6.30pm. The change applies to both ordinary and extraordinary meetings of Council.

Tiningi Youth Hall restored

Council is pleased to announce the completion of the rebuild of Tiningi Youth Hall at Bligh Park three months ahead of schedule. The Mayor of Hawkesbury, Councillor Bart Bassett handed over the keys of the rebuilt Tiningi Youth Hall to the Manager, Bligh Park Community Services Inc. Sonia Parker on Tuesday, 13 October.

Greg Hansell: Survey - Opening on 30 October

Greg Hansell is one of the Hawkesbury�s best-known and most-collected artists. Born in 1949 in Goulburn, he trained at St George Technical College between 1976 and 1980. He began painting full-time in 1980 in the �traditionalist� or �realist� school.
