The national community event, Garage Sale Trail, is now in its third year and has attracted the support of over 110 local councils across the country to encourage Australians everywhere to come together on the same day – Saturday, 26 October 2013 – to reduce waste and reuse pre-loved items in a fun and creative way.

The Hawkesbury Community Nursery was a hive of activity over the past few days as it gave away over 600 native plants to encourage residents to plant a native tree for National Tree Day. This was the first National Tree Day event ever held at the Community Nursery with the aim to improve the natural biodiversity of people’s gardens and properties in the Hawkesbury.
