Community Awards & Scholarships
Hawkesbury City Council has a number of award programs it administers with many of them open to public nominations.
The 2012 Hawkesbury Australia Day Award nominations are open for the community to nominate and recommend a person/s that they feel is worthy for one of the prestigious awards.
The Citizen of the Season recipients are chosen for their community service and commitment to the community.
The Young Citizen of the Season Award program is an excellent program that acknowledges exceptional contributions of young people in our community.
School Citizenship awards are sponsored by Council and are awarded to one student at every local primary and high school in the Hawkesbury District.
Nominations are taken for secondary students for the annual Natalie Burton Memorial Award every year.
Hawkesbury City Council in conjunction with the Hawkesbury Sports Council runs the Hawkesbury District Sports Medal and Hawkesbury District Sports Certificate Awards to recognise the positive contributions of residents to sport in our community.
The Dr Rex Stubbs OAM Memorial Annual Scholarship was established by Hawkesbury City Council in February 2011. It recognises Councillor Stubbs’ abiding commitment to both the Hawkesbury community and the historical significance of the area.
