Hawkesbury Sports Awards
Hawkesbury City Council in conjunction with the Hawkesbury Sports Council runs the Hawkesbury District Sports Medal and Hawkesbury District Sports Certificate Awards to recognise the positive contributions of residents to sport in our community.
The Hawkesbury District Sports Medal seeks to recognise individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to or have represented the Hawkesbury in sport of any kind at a district or higher level for a minimum 10 continuous years.
The Hawkesbury District Sports Certificate is for persons that have supported their sport at the local club level for 10 years, 20 years or 30 years.
Nominees may be drawn from all persons involved:
- players
- competitors
- umpires
- coaches
- sport fundraisers
- administrators
Both awards highlight Hawkesbury City Council's dedication to supporting healthy lifestyle choices and recognise the community members who display an outstanding level of commitment to sport in the Hawkesbury. The medals and certificates are presented at a civic ceremony.
Nominations are now open for the 2012 Hawkesbury Sports Award. To nominate you will need to complete a Hawkesbury Sports Awards nomination form. Nominations close Friday, 6 July 2012.
