Sydney Writers’ Festival @ Hawkesbury Library
The Sydney Writers’ Festival is an annual literary festival which presents over 300 events, attracting audiences of over 100,000 throughout Sydney and participating suburbs. It brings together writers from various forms and backgrounds, including the best contemporary novelists, writers of cutting-edge nonfiction, plus a range of popular personalities and international guests.
For the first time, Hawkesbury Library Service will be participating in the Sydney Writers’ Festival, which will be held from Monday, 22 to Sunday, 28 May 2017. The Library is pleased to announce that Sandra Leigh Price will give an author talk at the Library on Wednesday, 24 May from 6pm to 7:30pm.
Sandra Leigh Price’s glittering and gritty The River Sings is set in 1825 in London and the Colony of New South Wales. It follows the life of Eglantine, daughter of the mysteriously prosperous Mr Amberline Stark. Join Sandra in a conversation about love knots and cut ties, old worlds and new beginnings, and the importance of a taking a chance.
