Free movie – Crackerjack

We have a ‘cracker’ of a movie screening this month at Hawkesbury Central Library. Crackerjack, the hilarious Australian comedy will screen on Thursday, 10 August at 10am and again at 6pm.

Starring the iconic Bill Hunter with comedians Mick Molloy and Judith Lucy, the movie focuses on a bowling club in the city that is suffering financial difficulties. Molloy plays the good-for-nothing member who eventually bands together with the bowling enthusiasts to save their local club from a takeover and redevelopment. Ultimately it comes down to a momentous lawn bowls tournament, being part of a team, and decency over greediness.

The movie will be shown in the Tebbutt Room, Deerubbin Centre, 300 George Street, Windsor. Entry is free but bookings are essential via Eventbrite or call 4560 4460.

Refreshments will be available before the screenings and everyone is also welcome to bring along snacks and drinks. The movie runs for 94 minutes and is rated G. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Suitability for viewing is at the discretion of the parent/carer.

Movies @ your Library events are held on the second Thursday of the month, except January.
