The Mayor of Hawkesbury, Councillor Mary Lyons-Buckett will officially launch the 2017 Mayoral Christmas Appeal at the Christmas event.

“This will be the sixth year the Mayoral Christmas appeal will be partnering with the Rotary Club of Richmond’s Tree of Joy Appeal,” the Mayor said.

“A small donation to families who may be struggling this Christmas goes a long way.

“Let’s all pitch in to help improve the lives of our fellow residents at this special time of year and spread the Christmas cheer.”

Collection boxes and tags will be available from Hawkesbury Central Library and Richmond Branch Library from Monday, 20 November 2017. Gifts may also be donated to the Mayoral Christmas Appeal on the day of the launch as tags will be available.

The Mayoral Christmas Appeal is run in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Richmond’s very successful program which has provided thousands of gifts to less fortunate residents of the Hawkesbury over the last 16 years.

  • Council’s Administration Building, 366 George Street Windsor
