Free author talk – Judy Nunn

Award winning, best-selling author Judy Nunn will visit at Hawkesbury Central Library on Tuesday, 14 November from 10:30am to 12pm to talk about her latest novel, Sanctuary.

Judy Nunn - ImageJudy’s latest novel follows the tribulations of a group of refugees whose rickety wooden dingy runs aground on a barren island off the coast of Western Australia, and a tiny fishing community forty kilometres away on the mainland where nothing ever changes – until now. It is a tale of the human spirit where compassion meets bigotry, hatred meets love, and ultimate despair meets hope on the windswept shores of Australia.

Judy’s career has been long, illustrious and multifaceted. After combining her internationally successful acting career with scriptwriting for television and radio, Judy decided to turn her hand to prose. She has since developed a love of writing Australian historically-based fiction and her fame as a novelist has spread rapidly throughout Europe where she is published in English, German, French, Dutch, Czech and Spanish.

Copies of Judy’s book will be available for purchase and signing. This is a free event with refreshments included. Booking are essential, to book go to www.hawkesburylibrary.eventbrite.com or call 4560 4460. The event will be held at Hawkesbury Central Library, 300 George Street, Windsor.
