Free Business Breakfast at Windsor Function Centre
Hawkesbury City Council will host a free business breakfast on Wednesday, 18 October from 7:30am to 9:30am at Windsor Function Centre to launch the ‘Nepean Jobs for All’ Project in the Hawkesbury.
The project provides business leaders and employers with access to information, training and resources (both online and in breakfast style forums) that assist to lift unnecessary barriers to employing people with disability and realise the benefits of an inclusive workforce.
Hawkesbury Mayor, Councillor Mary Lyons-Buckett believes it is a very worthwhile initiative.
"Building an inclusive, diverse workforce benefits everyone – your employees, your organisation and the community as a whole; it makes good business sense,” the Mayor said.
“Employing people with disability does not cost any more than employing people without disability.
“The Australian Government provides supports to businesses looking to employ people with a disability, including funding for workplace changes, buying equipment and access to services.”
Employers are invited to attend the Hawkesbury business breakfast and connect with businesses that have implemented inclusive employment practices, diversified their workforce and can testify to the benefit it has bought their business.
Nepean Jobs for All is a partnership project of Penrith, Blue Mountains and Hawkesbury City Councils, funded by National Disability Insurance Scheme Information, Linkages and Capacity Building Program.
You can RSVP for the Hawkesbury business breakfast by contacting Celia Bishop, Penrith City Council on (02) 4732 7838 or by email email@example.com
