Improve your food handling skills

If you’re looking to improve your food handling skills, act now and book into Hawkesbury City Council’s food handling seminar. It will be held on Wednesday, 14 March 2018 from 5pm to 8pm at Hawkesbury Leisure and Learning Centre, Richmond.

Experienced trainers will help participants improve their food safety skills whether it is for work or home. The seminar will also help people to understand their legal obligations when handling food when working in the food industry.

Topics covered in the three hour seminar will include: personal hygiene, time and temperature, food preparation and storage, cleaning and maintenance. All participants will receive an informative summary kit as well as a Certificate of Attendance.

The seminar will be held at Hawkesbury Leisure and Learning Centre, 114 March Street, Richmond for a low cost of $53.50 per participant. All attendees will receive confirmation once sufficient attendance numbers are reached. Bookings are essential.

Some food handling activities in larger workplaces that entail food manufacturing or high risk food categories will require a higher level, accredited food safety certificate. For more information about food safety accreditation visit or contact Council’s Environmental Health Officer via email or call (02) 4560 4444.
