Free movie – The Man Who Sued God

The Man Who Sued God will screen at Hawkesbury Central Library on Thursday, 8 February at 10am and again at 6pm.

This 2001 Australian romantic comedy focuses on the story of Steve, a lawyer (Billy Connelly) who becomes frustrated the judicial system. Steve quits to make a living as a fisher, but unfortunately his small fishing boat is struck by lightning. The insurance company declines his claim due to a clause of no payments on an ‘Act of God’. Hilarity ensues as he dons his lawyer suit to sue God.

Popcorn imageThe movie, on loan from the National Film and Sound Archive, will screen in the Tebbutt Room, Deerubbin Centre, 300 George Street Windsor. Entry is free, however, bookings are essential via Eventbrite or call 4560 4460.

Tea and coffee will be available before the screenings and everyone is also welcome to bring along their own snacks and drinks. The movie runs for 102 minutes and is rated M. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Suitability for viewing is at the discretion of the parent/carer.
