New Windsor Bridge approved

The Mayor of Hawkesbury, Councillor Kim Ford welcomed the news of the planning approval of the construction of a new Windsor Bridge by the NSW Government saying, " this is the next step in this very important project to provide a safer crossing of the Hawkesbury River which will benefit not only Hawkesbury residents but all road users."

Vandalism of amenities – Wheeny Creek camping ground

Following recent theft at recreation facilities in the Hawkesbury, further vandalism has now been reported at the Wheeny Creek camping ground, Comleroy Rd, Kurrajong. The men's side of the amenities has been smashed in, with a wall destroyed. As a result, the amenities are now unsafe and fenced off.

Despite positive reports that the local crime rate has dropped, alarming news is that thefts and vandalism in Hawkesbury parks is currently occurring in rapid succession – and sadly just before children go on the long Christmas holidays when they would have an extended time to enjoy them.
