Love is in the air at Hawkesbury Regional Gallery in Windsor, where staff are working towards the opening of Here Comes the Bride, an exhibition which opens on Friday, 10 February, just in time for Valentine’s Day. It will run until Sunday, 26 March 2017.
Supporting the Funnel Web spider antivenom program1 February 2017
Hawkesbury City Council is a Collection Point for Funnel Web spiders and other spiders, with Council’s Customer Service staff regularly accepting spider deliveries on behalf of the Australian Reptile Park on the Central Coast. This week, Customer Service staff have already received three funnel webs and one red back, and the spiders have been delivered to the Australian Reptile Park.

Council has received notification from the Minister for Planning that Council’s Upper Hawkesbury River Estuary Coastal Zone Management Plan (CZMP) has received certification under the Coastal Protection Act 1979.

The Mayor of Hawkesbury, Councillor Mary Lyons-Buckett is pleased to announce that Council has resolved to engage a member of the local Darug community, determined by their Elders, to undertake a Smoking Ceremony at the beginning of the first Council meeting of each calendar year, commencing in 2017.
