Hawkesbury Sport Awards Now Open for Nominations

Members of the community are invited to nominate worthy persons for the annual Hawkesbury District Sports Medal and Hawkesbury District Sports Certificate Awards.

The Hawkesbury District Sports Medal seeks to recognise individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to, or represented the Hawkesbury in, sport of any kind at a district or higher level for more than 10 years.

The Hawkesbury District Sports Certificate is for persons that have supported their sport for 10 years, 20 years or 30 years at the local club level. Nominees may be drawn from players or competitors through to sport administrators.

Nomination Forms for the awards can be downloaded from Council’s website at www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au, at council offices, Windsor or Richmond Library or can be obtained by phoning 4571 2252 or 4560 4430. Nominations will close on Friday, 4 June 2010.

Mobility Mapping Project - Richmond

Council is developing a Mobility Map for the Richmond CBD. The aim of the map is to show the location of major community services or facilities, and the accessibility of these services. An audit of current facilities is about to commence in the area which will assess the physical access of services and businesses.

Council staff and authorised volunteers will be working in the area commencing 10th May.Your business may be approached to participate in the audit. If you wish to opt out of this survey process, please inform the survey team or contact the Community Safety Coordinator on 4560 4498.
