Natalie Burton Memorial Award

Hawkesbury City Council is calling for nominations for the annual Natalie Burton Memorial Award on behalf of the Burton, Turner and Lawrance families.

One award will be presented to a student from a Secondary School within the Hawkesbury City Council area. This award is intended for a recipient who has faced a challenging circumstance, and through their application and determination, overcome this adversity to succeed. This circumstance could be a disability, illness, serious accident, loss of a family member or other situation.

Members of the community are invited to nominate a student for the 2011 Natalie Burton Memorial Award by completing a nomination form which can be obtained from Council offices at 366 George St, Windsor, by calling 4560 4430 or online www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au . Nominations close on Friday, 10 June 2011.

2011/2012 Draft Management Plan on Public Exhibition - JR 0554

Each year Hawkesbury City Council outlines its activities for the coming year through the Management Plan. The 2011/2012 Draft Management Plan is split into three volumes:

1. Strategic and Operational Plan
2. Budget Estimates
3. Revenue Pricing Policy (with Fees and Charges)

What the Management Plan is about

The Strategic Plan sets out the goals that Council works towards and the Operational Plan details the key elements of projects that will be undertaken. The Budget Estimates detail the proposed income and expenditure for each of the different functions and the proposed capital works program. The Revenue Pricing Policy details a list of fees and charges that contribute to Council's income.

Where to see the Management Plan

The 2011/2012 Draft Management Plan will be on public exhibition from Thursday, 5 May 2011 until Monday, 6 June 2011. You can view the Plan at:

The community is invited to provide comment on the exhibited Plan via written submissions sent to Council by any of the methods listed below by Monday, 6 June 2011:

Please make reference to "Management Plan Submission" at the top of your document. For any enquiries regarding the 2011/2012 Draft Management Plan, please contact Council on 4560 4444.

Please be advised that comments about the 2011/2012 Draft Management Plan may contain information that is personal information, such as information that identifies you, etc, for the purposes of the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act.

The purpose of collecting this information is to assist Council in obtaining the views of the community regarding this matter. The information may also be made available to third parties in accordance with the relevant legislation.

The submission of personal information with your comments is voluntary but, if not provided, may affect consideration of such comments. The information will ultimately be stored in Council''s records system.
