Public Comment Sought for Proposed Desexing Policy and Fees

At the Ordinary meeting of Council held on 26 June 2012, Council resolved to gain public comment on the creation of a new policy for the mandatory desexing of cats and dogs (apart from kittens and puppies too young to desex) sold from the Hawkesbury City Council Companion Animal Shelter.

It was also proposed at this meeting to amend the sale price of cats and dogs in line with the proposed policy changes.

Details of the proposed new policy and fee structure can be viewed at the following locations during business hours:

  • Richmond Branch Library and Hawkesbury Central Library at Windsor
  • Online at Council’s website

In accordance with Section 610F of the Local Government Act 1993, notification is hereby given of the proposed new policy and fees.

Submissions about the proposed policy and fees are invited and will be accepted up until 5pm 7 August 2012. Please address all comments in writing to The General Manager and send to Council by any of the methods listed below:

The purpose of collecting this information is to assist Council in obtaining the views of the community regarding this matter. The information may also be made available to third parties in accordance with the relevant legislation.

Roads Act 1993 - Road Naming Proposal - Naming of a Proposed Road at East Kurrajong associated with DA0036/10

Notice is given that Hawkesbury City Council in accordance with the Roads Act 1993 and by resolution dated 10 July 2012, that public comment be sought under the New South Wales Road Act, 1993 for the naming of the new public road in connection with DA0036/10, and contained within Lot 11, DP 1154540 (120 Royerdale Place, East Kurrajong), as "William Hall Place".

The community is invited to provide comment on the proposed road name via written submissions sent to Council by any of the methods listed below by close of business, Friday 24 August 2012.

Please address all submissions in writing to the General Manager, Hawkesbury City Council, Titled -"Future Road Name William Hall Place, East Kurrajong".
