Australia Day Award Nominations 2013
Get your nominations in NOW for the 2013 Hawkesbury Australia Day Awards.
The Australia Day Awards recognise achievements of Hawkesbury residents and organisations in the following categories:
- Cultural Heritage Award – for significant contribution to cultural heritage development
- Community Arts Award – for significant contribution to cultural art development
- Sports Person of the Year – for outstanding achievement in the sporting domain
- Commemorative Plaque – for significant contribution of a resident (posthumous 5 years)
The awards are based on a process of nomination and selection by the Hawkesbury Civic and Citizenship Committee.

Proposed Amendment to Schedule 1 Additional Permitted Uses of Hawkesbury Local Environmental Plan 2012 – 389 Old Hawkesbury Road and 541, 545 and 547 Windsor Road, Vineyard
Council has prepared a planning proposal under the provisions of Section 55 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (the Act). The objective of the planning proposal is to specify a range of small scale light industrial, ancillary retail, a trailer hire business, hardware and building supplies and associated parking as additional permitted land uses in Schedule 1 Additional Permitted Uses of the Hawkesbury Local Environmental Plan 2012 (the LEP) in order to allow their operation on the subject land with Council consent until completion of the Vineyard Precinct Planning process.
The planning proposal and other supporting documentation is on public exhibition 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday at the Council offices, 366 George Street, Windsor for the period Friday 9 November 2012 to Monday 26 November 2012. The planning proposal and other supporting documentation can also be viewed on Council’s website www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au.
Interested persons are invited to inspect the planning proposal and other supporting documentation. Written submissions should be referenced “LEP11001/11” and can be posted to Hawkesbury City Council, PO Box 146, WINDSOR NSW 2756, faxed to (02) 4587 7740, or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. The last day for the receipt of submissions is Monday 26 November 2012.
Under Section 147(5) of the Act, any person who makes a submission to Council is required to disclose any political donation or gift. Where relevant a Political Donation and Gift Disclosure Statement is to accompany any submission lodged with Council.
