Adoption of Draft Heritage Conservation Chapter of Part C of Hawkesbury Development Control Plan 2002

Council at the Ordinary Meeting of 26 November 2013 resolved to adopt the draft Heritage Conservation Chapter of Part C of Hawkesbury Development Control Plan 2002 (DCP). The aim of this Chapter, known as Chapter 10 Heritage Conservation of Part C of the DCP, is to promote and protect Hawkesbury’s natural and cultural heritage as a valuable resource for existing and future generations. The Chapter provides development controls for heritage items and heritage conservation areas listed in Schedule 5 – Environmental Heritage of Hawkesbury Local Environmental Plan 2012 and any development on land adjacent to or within the vicinity of a heritage item or conservation area.

The new Heritage Conservation Chapter of Part C of the DCP will come into effect upon publication of this notice of adoption.
