Exhibition of Planning Proposal - Jacaranda Ponds

Hawkesbury City Council is exhibiting a planning proposal affecting Lot 2 DP 533402, 103 Spinks Road, Glossodia; Lot 52 DP 1104504, 123 Spinks Road, Glossodia; Lot 20 DP 214753, 213 Spinks Road, Glossodia; Lot 75 DP 214752, 361 Spinks Road, Glossodia; Lot 3 DP 230943, 11 James Street, Glossodia; Lot 44 DP 214755, 3 Derby Place, Glossodia; Lot 50 DP 751637, Glossodia (known as 746A Kurmond Road, Freemans Reach); and Lots 1, 2 and 3 DP 784300, Glossodia (known as 780A, 780B and 780C Kurmond Road, North Richmond).

The objectives of the planning proposal are to:

  • Rezone the land for primarily large lot residential and low density residential development
  • Ensure that future development on the site creates a natural expansion of the town of Glossodia allowing for a seamless southward extension
  • Create a riparian corridor along Currency Creek
  • Preserve and enhance other environmentally significant areas within the site in a manner that achieves a harmonious relationship between the site and its surrounds
  • Ensure the development includes new local infrastructure that will benefit the community.

The planning proposal and other supporting documentation is on public exhibition 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday at Council’s Administration Office, 366 George Street, Windsor for the period Friday 12 July 2013 to Wednesday 14 August 2013 and can be viewed on Council’s website www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au.

Interested persons are invited to inspect the planning proposal and other supporting documentation. Written submissions should be referenced “LEP89001/10” and can be posted to Hawkesbury City Council, PO Box 146, WINDSOR NSW 2756, faxed to (02) 4587 7740, or emailed to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au. The last day for the receipt of submissions is Wednesday 14 August 2013.

Please note confidentiality is not available to respondents. The details of any submissions may be included in a Council report or forwarded to the proponent where it may help to resolve issues raised in the submission. Information (including copies of submissions) may also be released in accordance with Council’s Access to Information policy.

Any comments about this proposal may contain information that is personal information, such as information that identifies you, etc, for the purposes of the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1988. The inclusion of personal information with your submission is voluntary. However, if not provided Council will not be able to contact you about the proposal. The information will be stored in Council''s electronic records system and paper files. For your protection, Council recommends that you do not include defamatory comments in your submission.

Submissions are balanced with Council’s statutory obligations, the rights of the proponent and the public interest. Council must consider any submissions made before it decides whether to proceed with or abandon a proposal.

Under Section 147(5) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, any person who makes a submission to Council is required to disclose any political donation or gift. Where relevant a Political Donation and Gift Disclosure Statement is to accompany any submission lodged with Council. This statement is available from Council.

The Minister for Planning and Infrastructure has not delegated the making of the local environmental plan to Council.

Proposed Amendments to the Code of Meeting Practice

Proposed amendments to Council’s Code of Meeting Practice are on public exhibition until 15 August 2013 and may be viewed on Council’s website at www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au or at Council’s office. For further information on the proposed amendments to the Code of Meeting Practice, please contact Council’s Manager Corporate Services and Governance on (02) 4560 4444 or attention email enquiries accordingly to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au.

Written comments on the proposed amendments to the Code of Meeting Practice are invited and should be addressed to the General Manager, Hawkesbury City Council, PO Box 146, Windsor NSW 2756 or can be faxed to (02) 4587 7740 or emailed to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au. Written comments also close on 15 August 2013. Council will consider all submissions at a subsequent Council meeting.

Should you lodge a submission, it will be considered, along with any other submissions received. As such, any submission may be included in Council’s Meeting Business Paper and your submission, including any personal information, is accessible to the public upon written application, subject to Council’s Privacy Management Plan and the Government Information (Public Access) Act. The submission of personal information with your comments is voluntary but, if not provided, may affect consideration of such comments. The information will ultimately be stored in Council''s records system.

Development Proposal

Hawkesbury City Council has received a development application for Dwelling - Ancillary development - Construction of a shed & decommissioning and filling of existing dam at the above property. The applicant is Lorry Bugeja. Hawkesbury City Council is the consent authority.

The development application and supporting information will be on public exhibition for the period of 18th July 2013 to 1st August 2013. All plans and details may be inspected between 8:30am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday, at Council''s Administration Office, 366 George Street, Windsor.

During the exhibition period any person may make a submission in writing to Council in relation to the development application, quoting reference DA0304/13. Where a submission by way of objection is made, the grounds for objection are to be specified in the submission. Should you lodge a submission, your views will be taken into account as part of our assessment and a reply will be forwarded to you when the application is determined.
