2014 Natalie Burton Memorial Award

Natalie Burton Memorial Award Hawkesbury City Council is calling for nominations for the annual Natalie Burton Memorial Award on behalf of the Burton, Turner and Lawrance families.

Hawkesbury City Council is calling for nominations for the annual Natalie Burton Memorial Award on behalf of the Burton, Turner and Lawrance families.

One award will be presented to a student from a Secondary School within the Hawkesbury Local Government Area. This award is intended for a recipient who has faced a challenging circumstance and through their application and determination, overcome this adversity to succeed. This circumstance could be a disability, illness, serious accident, loss of a family member or other situation.

Members of the community are invited to nominate a student for the 2013 Natalie Burton Memorial Award by completing a nomination form which can be obtained from Council offices at 366 George St, Windsor, by calling 4560 4430 or online www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au . Nominations close 5pm Friday, 15 November 2013.


Tenders

Tender No. 00935 - TENDER FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF BRIDGE NO 5 AND BRIDGE NO 7 ON UPPER COLO ROAD, UPPER COLO

Tenders are invited for the construction of two bridges, Bridge No 5 and Bridge No 7, on Upper Colo Road, Upper Colo and will be received up to 3pm on Thursday, 28 November 2013.

It is proposed to construct two new single span prestressed concrete bridges (20m span and 15m span) to replace the existing two timber bridges along Upper Colo Road. The scope of work comprises the supply of all materials, plant, equipment, labour and the carrying out of all activities necessary for the construction of both bridges.

Tender documents are available free of charge at https://tenders.nsw.gov.au/wsroc/ or at Council’s Administration building at 366 George Street, Windsor from Tuesday 5 November 2013 for a non-refundable fee of $100 (incl. GST).

Tenders may only be submitted by the means described in the tender documents and must be received by the closing time. Late tenders will not be accepted.

Please note that there is a Compulsory Pre-Tender meeting to be held at 10am on Wednesday, 13 November 2013 onsite at Bridge No 5, which is located on Upper Colo Road approximately 10.1km from Putty Road (MR503). This will be followed by a site meeting at Bridge No. 7 which is located on Upper Colo Road at approximately 15.1km from Putty Road (MR503).

The canvassing of Councillors will automatically disqualify the applicant from the tender process.

Tender No. 00936 - TENDER FOR the Construction of a New Data Centre at Council''s Administration Building

Tenders are invited for the construction of a new Data Centre at Council''s Administration Building and will be received up to 10am, Friday 29 November 2013.

The specified works for the new data centre include Uninterrupted Power Supply, Cooling System, Back up Generator supply, Fire Protection System, and Electrical Services.

Tender documents are available at Council’s Administration Building at 366 George Street, Windsor from Tuesday, 5 November 2013 for a non-refundable fee of $100 (incl. GST) or available for free at WSROC e-tendering website at https://tenders.nsw.gov.au/wsroc/. Tenders may only be submitted by the means described in the tender documents and must be received by the closing time. Late tenders will not be accepted.

Expressions of Interest

Expressions of Interest for Community Representation on Council''s Sustainability Advisory Committee

Expressions of Interest are invited from suitably qualified members of the community to act as community representatives on the Sustainability Advisory Committee. Community members are generally appointed to committees on the basis of their industry knowledge and experience, technical skills and/or their ability to interpret the common interests of residents.

Community Representation - Vacancies - Two (2) Community appointments

Council has established a Sustainability Advisory Committee to address sustainability issues within the Hawkesbury LGA. The Committee has been delegated the task of providing advice and assistance to Council to promote sustainable practices and reduce the ecological footprint of the Hawkesbury LGA. The aim of the Committee is to assist Council to integrate environmental sustainability into Council policies, plans and operations and promote sustainable practices in the community. Meetings are to be held a minimum of two times per year.
