Draft Upper Hawkesbury Estuary Coastal Zone Management Plan

Hawkesbury City Council is exhibiting the Draft Upper Hawkesbury Coastal Zone Management Plan (CZMP). The CZMP is a detailed list of Action Plans for the management of the Hawkesbury River for the next 5-10 years.

The CZMP will be on public exhibition 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday at Council’s Administration Building at 366 George Street, Windsor until Friday, 30 May 2014. It can also be viewed on Council’s website, www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au, under 'Consulting the Community'. Interested persons are invited to inspect the CZMP.

Written submissions concerning the CZMP may be made to Council. Please address all comments in relation to this matter to the General Manager, Hawkesbury City Council titled 'Submission - Draft Upper Hawkesbury River Coastal Zone Management Plan'. Please return submissions to Council by any of the below methods:

Draft Voluntary Planning Agreement for Proposed Development known as “Redbank, North Richmond” - Lot 271, DP 1156792, 98 Grose Vale Road, North Richmond; Lot 272 DP 1156792, 96 Grose Vale Road, North Richmond; and Lot 273 DP 1156792, 26 Arthur Phillip Drive, North Richmond

Hawkesbury City Council is exhibiting a draft Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) for the proposed development known as “Redbank North Richmond.” affecting Lot 271, DP 1156792, 98 Grose Vale Road, North Richmond; Lot 272 DP 1156792, 96 Grose Vale Road, North Richmond; and Lot 273 DP 1156792, 26 Arthur Phillip Drive, North Richmond.

This draft VPA is complementary to the planning proposal that Council resolved to support on 12 November 2013 to rezone the abovementioned land to enable the development of the site for approximately 1,400 residential allotments and ancillary development.

The objective of the draft VPA is for the Developer to provide Council with appropriate road infrastructure, community facilities, embellishment works to Peel Park and other relevant open space areas, monetary contributions and dedication of land required as a result of the proposed development.

The draft VPA, an Explanatory Note and other supporting documentation are on public exhibition 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday at the Council offices, 366 George Street, Windsor for the period Friday 11 April 2014 to Monday 19 May 2014 and can also be viewed on Council’s website www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au.

Interested persons are invited to inspect the draft VPA and other supporting documentation. Written submissions concerning the provisions in the draft VPA may be made to Council throughout the abovementioned exhibition period. Submissions should be referenced “Redbank VPA” and can be posted to Hawkesbury City Council, PO Box 146, WINDSOR NSW 2756, faxed to (02) 4587 7740, or emailed to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au throughout the exhibition period.

Public Exhibition of Draft Operational Plan 2014/2015

Each year Hawkesbury City Council outlines its activities for the coming year through an Operational Plan.

The Draft Operational Plan 2014/2015 identifies the proposed projects, programs and activities to be undertaken during 2014/2015. The Operational Plan also contains a Statement of Revenue Policy, which includes fees and charges and information regarding rates and annual charges. Estimated income and expenditure and the capital works program for 2014/2015 are also included.

The Draft Operational Plan 2014/2015 consists of two volumes:

  1. Operational Plan 2014/2015 - Part 1 – outlines Projects, Programs and Activities together with Estimated Income and Expenditure
  2. Operational Plan 2014/2015 - Part 2 – outlines Rates, Pricing Methodology and Borrowings together with and Fees & Charges

The draft Operational Plan 2014/2015 will be on public exhibition for the period Monday, 28 April 2014 to Wednesday, 28 May 2014. You can view the draft plan at

Governor Phillip Reserve and Boat Ramp Temporary Closure

Notice is given that Governor Phillip Reserve and boat ramp will be closed to the general public on Saturday, 3 May 2014 and Sunday, 4 May 2014, as exclusive use has been granted to Upper Hawkesbury Power Boat Club for the Bridge to Bridge Power Boat Race.
