Susanne Gervay OAM is an award winning author. She is head of The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators Australia East and New Zealand and has received numerous awards including an OAM for Children’s Literature and professional organisations.

Exhibition of Planning Proposal to amend clause 4.1D(1)(a) of Hawkesbury Local Environmental Plan 2012

Hawkesbury City Council is exhibiting a planning proposal affecting clause 4.1D(1)(a) of Hawkesbury Local Environmental Plan 2012 (the LEP).

The objective of the planning proposal is to identify the timing of the provision of reticulated sewerage for allotments created in land identified as “Area A” and edged heavy blue on the Lot Size Map of the LEP. These areas include land within the townships of Wilberforce, Kurmond, Kurrajong, Kurrajong Heights and Agnes Banks.

The planning proposal and other supporting documentation is on public exhibition 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday at Council's Administration Office, 366 George Street, Windsor for the period Friday 17 January 2014 to Monday 3 February 2014 and can be viewed on Council’s website www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au.

Interested persons are invited to inspect the planning proposal and other supporting documentation. Written submissions should be referenced “LEP006/13” and can be posted to Hawkesbury City Council, PO Box 146, WINDSOR NSW 2756, faxed to (02) 4587 7740, or emailed to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au.

The last day for the receipt of submissions is Monday 3 February 2014.

Please note confidentiality is not available to respondents. The details of any submissions may be included on Council''s website, in a Council report or forwarded to the proponent where it may help to resolve issues raised in the submission. Information (including copies of submissions) may also be released in accordance with Council’s Access to Information policy.

Any comments about this proposal may contain information that is personal information, such as information that identifies you, etc, for the purposes of the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1988. The inclusion of personal information with your submission is voluntary. However, if not provided Council will not be able to contact you about the proposal. The information will be stored in Council''s electronic records system and paper files. For your protection, Council recommends that you do not include defamatory comments in your submission.

Submissions are balanced with Council’s statutory obligations, the rights of the proponent and the public interest. Council must consider any submissions made before it decides whether to proceed with or abandon a proposal.

Under Section 147(5) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, any person who makes a submission to Council is required to disclose any political donation or gift. Where relevant a Political Donation and Gift Disclosure Statement is to accompany any submission lodged with Council. This statement is available from Council.

The Minister for Planning and Infrastructure has delegated the making of the local environmental plan to Council.

DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL

Hawkesbury City Council has received a development application for alterations and fit-out of the first floor premises and the operation of a pub. The applicant is Falson & Associates Pty Limited. Hawkesbury City Council is the consent authority.

The development application and supporting information will be on public exhibition for the period 16 January 2014 to 30 January 2014 . All plans and details may be inspected between 8:30am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday, at Council''s Administration Office, 366 George Street, Windsor.

During the exhibition period any person may make a submission in writing to Council in relation to the development application, quoting reference DA0634/13. Hawkesbury City Council has received a development application for bank rehabilitation, stabilisation works and pontoon at the above property. The applicant is Glen Daniel Miller & Jacqueline Miller. Hawkesbury City Council is the consent authority.

The proposed development is defined as integrated development under Section 91 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 because an approval under the Water Management Act 2000 is required. The approval body is the Department of Primary Industries – Office of Water.

Alcohol-Free Zones

In accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act 1993, Council resolved on 10 December 2013 to prohibit the consumption of alcohol by the re establishment of Alcohol Free Zones, for a period of four (4) years from 1 January 2014 to 31 December 2017, in the areas described, as follows:

The roads and footpaths of the following blocks, having boundaries of:

  • Francis Street, West Market Street, Windsor Street and Bosworth Street, Richmond – including Coles Car Park in Richmond.
  • East Market Street, Windsor Street, West Market Street and March Street, Richmond.
  • George Street, Campbell Street, Mullinger Lane and Argyle Street, South Windsor – including the roads, footpaths and car parks of South Windsor Shopping Centre and McLeod Park, South Windsor.
