The development consents are available for public inspection, without charge, at Council Offices. Office hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

Expression of Interest - Economic Working Group
Council is establishing an Economic Working Group, as part of its approach to developing an Economic Development Strategy in 2014-15. The economic development strategy (Strategy) will require input and support from the community and businesses to progress the local economy in the macro economies we are a part of today.
The working group’s purpose is consultative and to inform and support the Strategy’s vision and development. The working group will operate for up to 2 years, meet monthly and members will be required to assist in engagement activities during the preparation of the Strategy.
We are looking for people who are ‘citizens of the Hawkesbury’ area, who may have skills and experience in economic development, industry development and expansion, business development, business success, investment attraction, innovation and even business-social responsibility and community development. We are looking for strategic thinkers who can help look at market trends.
Expressions of interest are invited from community and business representatives to be part of the working group, which will also have local business groups, Hawkesbury Councillors and Hawkesbury Council Management members. The Economic Working Group is not a committee of Council, but will assist Council develop the Strategy.

First week of June 2014
During the first week of June 2014, activities will run for interested business owners, employers and employees, to help businesses grow in the Hawkesbury area. Activities including workshops and networking opportunities will be hosted by partners including Hawkesbury Business Enterprise Centre (BEC), Hawkesbury City Chamber of Commerce and Council. The NSW Government’s Small Business Bus will attend on Wednesday, 4 June, for business advisory sessions. All activities are free and only require an investment of time in your business.
Hawkesbury businesses are invited to be part of the week.

Public Exhibition of Draft Operational Plan 2014/2015
Each year Hawkesbury City Council outlines its activities for the coming year through an Operational Plan.
The Draft Operational Plan 2014/2015 identifies the proposed projects, programs and activities to be undertaken during 2014/2015. The Operational Plan also contains a Statement of Revenue Policy, which includes fees and charges and information regarding rates and annual charges. Estimated income and expenditure and the capital works program for 2014/2015 are also included.
The Draft Operational Plan 2014/2015 consists of two volumes:
- Operational Plan 2014/2015 - Part 1 – outlines Projects, Programs and Activities together with Estimated Income and Expenditure
- Operational Plan 2014/2015 - Part 2 – outlines Rates, Pricing Methodology and Borrowings together with and Fees & Charges
The draft Operational Plan 2014/2015 will be on public exhibition for the period Monday, 28 April 2014 to Wednesday, 28 May 2014. You can view the draft plan at:
