Intermediate Plant Operator - City Cleaning IS080CM

Intermediate Plant Operator – City Cleaning

We are looking for two Plant Operator/Street Cleaners to join our Construction and Maintenance Branch and undertake a range of street cleaning functions.

Working as part of a small team, duties will include operating machinery, manual and mechanical street sweeping and litter removal. Applicants must have an MR Licence, good interpersonal/teamwork skills and the ability to work unsupervised. Previous experience in waste collection would be an advantage.

Salary:- Grade 6 with a commencing rate of pay of $863.96 gross per 38 hour week plus an Adverse Working Conditions Allowance of $37.70 per week, superannuation and the opportunity to progress through Council''s Salary System.

The position involves early morning starts and regular weekend work.

Excellent working conditions apply including participation in a nine-day fortnight working agreement.

A great opportunity exists for an experienced Librarian with excellent leadership skills to join our Library Service as the Library Coordinator.

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Degree qualification in Library and Information Services, or equivalent, recognised by ALIA
  • Library experience at a senior supervisory level, with the ability to lead and motivate several work teams, set goals and monitor performance.
  • High level project management skills with demonstrated ability to scope, initiate and lead library projects
  • Experience in assessing, planning, implementing and promoting library programs and services for the community.
  • Knowledge of and experience with best practice collection management standards, including digital resources.

Records Data Integrity Officer SS041RE

We are seeking an experienced Records Data Integrity Officer to contribute to the efficient delivery of Council’s information management service. You will ensure all incoming correspondence is captured in our corporate electronic document management system, undertaking archiving and file retrieval requests.

To be successful you will need a Records Management, Office Administration or Information Technology Certificate and demonstrated experience in records management. Excellent communication and teamwork skills as well as an ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality are also essential.

Experience using an electronic document management system as well as using scanning and imaging equipment is desirable.

Commencing Salary: Grade 8 Entry, $935.33 gross week for 35 hours plus 9.5% Superannuation and the opportunity to progress through Council's Salary System. Excellent working conditions apply including participation in a nine-day fortnight working arrangement

Trainee Finance Officer SS042FS

Are you looking to kick-start your Finance career!

This two year traineeship will give you practical work experience in the Financial Services Branch, a chance to develop some great administrative and financial skills as well as gain an accredited qualification. It will also provide you with the opportunity to start a professional career in the Finance area.

It is essential that you have completed your School Certificate and/or Higher School Certificate showing that you have strong literacy/numeracy skills. It is also essential that you do not already possess a Certificate II or a higher-level qualification.

Commencing Salary: will range from $360.90 to $530.00 per week, dependant upon age and level of school qualification. Please note that continuing employment beyond the 2 year traineeship period cannot be guaranteed.
