CONSULTING THE COMMUNITY

Adoption of Hawkesbury Development Control Plan Chapter - Farm Buildings and Outbuildings This amended chapter seeks to provide consistency in the way sheds are described under the Hawkesbury Development Control Plan (DCP) and Hawkesbury Local Environmental Plan 2012. It also introduces new controls for farm buildings and outbuildings which considers land size, building setbacks and specified land use. This is to ensure that farm buildings and outbuildings are designed, sited and erected in a manner that complements the landscape character and any scenic qualities of the locality.

Council at the Ordinary meeting of 30 June 2015 resolved to adopt the draft DCP Chapter for Farm Buildings and Outbuildings which will modify the Erection of Rural Sheds Chapter of the DCP.

The amended chapter known as Part D Chapter 8 Farm Buildings and Outbuildings comes into effect upon publication of this notice of adoption.
