Draft Voluntary Planning Agreement for Proposed Development known as “Jacaranda Ponds”, Glossodia

Hawkesbury City Council is exhibiting a draft Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) for the proposed development known as “Jacaranda Ponds”, Glossodia. The draft VPA relates to development of land comprising:

  • Lot 2, DP 533402, 103 Spinks Road, Glossodia,
  • Lot 52, DP 1104504, 123 Spinks Road, Glossodia,
  • Lot 20, DP 214753, 213 Spinks Road, Glossodia,
  • Lot 75, DP 214752, 361 Spinks Road, Glossodia,
  • Lot 3, DP 230943, 11 James Street, Glossodia,
  • Lot 44, DP 214755, 3 Derby Place, Glossodia,
  • Lot 50, DP 751637, 746A Kurmond Road, Freemans Reach,
  • Lots 1, 2 and 3, DP 784300, 780A–780C Kurmond Road, North Richmond

The draft VPA is complementary to Hawkesbury Local Environmental Plan 2012 (Amendment No 5) which rezoned the abovementioned land to enable the development of the site for approximately 580 residential allotments, a range of community-recreation facilities, environmental corridors, and a new package plant sewer system.

The objective of the draft VPA is for the developer (EJ Cooper and Son Pty Ltd) to provide Council with road works, community works, cash contributions, and dedication of lands required as a result of the proposed development.

The draft VPA, an Explanatory Note and other supporting documentation are on public exhibition 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday at the Council offices, 366 George Street, Windsor for the period Friday 13 March 2015 to Friday 17 April 2015 and can also be viewed on Council’s website www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au.

Interested persons are invited to inspect the draft VPA and other supporting documentation. Written submissions concerning the provisions in the draft VPA may be made to Council throughout the abovementioned exhibition period. Submissions should be referenced “Jacaranda Ponds VPA” and can be posted to Hawkesbury City Council, PO Box 146, WINDSOR NSW 2756, faxed to (02) 4587 7740, or emailed to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au throughout the exhibition period.

The last day for the receipt of submissions is Monday 20 April 2015.

Please note confidentiality is not available to persons who make a submission. The details of any submissions may be included in a Council report or forwarded to the proponent where it may help to resolve issues raised in the submission. Information (including copies of submissions) may also be released in accordance with Council’s Access to Information policy and made available on Council’s website.

Any comments about this proposal may contain information that is personal information, such as information that identifies you, etc, for the purposes of the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1988. The inclusion of personal information with your submission is voluntary. However, if not provided Council will not be able to contact you about the proposed agreement. The information will be stored in Council''s electronic records system and paper files. For your protection, Council recommends that you do not include defamatory comments in your submission.

Casual Kennel Assistants - CP021RS

$28.65 gross per hour (includes casual loading)

We currently have casual vacancies for Kennel Assistants to join the team at the Companion Animals Shelter located at McGraths Hill. Responsibilities will include the cleaning of the shelters as well as the caring and feeding of impounded animals.

Applicants must have previous experience in handling animals and maintaining premises together with a compassionate attitude towards animals and physical fitness to carry out the duties. Applicants must be available to work weekends.

Governance Officer

This is a great opportunity for a versatile, customer focused person to provide high quality governance support to the Corporate Services and Governance Branch.

The position is responsible for processing applications lodged under the Government Information (Public Access) Act, and assisting with a range of clerical tasks in the areas of governance and property. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, together with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers is expected.

Applicants must have a TAFE/Certificate level qualification in Business Administration or equivalent, as well as previous experience in an office environment. Experience in Local Government and a demonstrated understanding of the Government Information (Public Access) Act is desirable.

Salary;- Grade 8, with a commencing rate of pay of $935.33 gross per week plus 9.5% Superannuation. Excellent working conditions apply including participation in a 9 day fortnight working arrangement.

Intermediate Plant Operator - Parks & Gardens

We are looking for an experienced Plant Operator to join our Parks & Gardens Branch.

Working as part of a small team your duties will include, but not limited to tree work, mowing, brushcutting, construction and maintenance activities such as installing bollards, irrigation work and path paving. You must have an MR Licence; a WH&S General Induction Certification; good interpersonal/teamwork skills to promote a positive public image.

Applicants with previous work experience in the tree industry will be highly regarded.

Salary:- Grade 6 with a commencing rate of pay of $863.96 gross per 38 hour week plus an Industry Allowance of $14.20 per week, superannuation and the opportunity to progress through Council's Salary System.

PROPERTY OFFICER

Full-Time Maternity Relief (up to 12 months)

This is a great opportunity for a versatile, customer focused person to support the Branch Manager and Property Services Coordinator to manage Council’s property portfolio and various administrative duties. This position provides services and assistance in a range of administrative functions including property management, property acquisitions and processing applications for access to council records in accordance with the Government Information (Public Access) Act.

To be successful in this role you must have a TAFE/Business Administration Certificate or equivalent; good computer and administrative skills; a current Class C Drivers Licence and experience in Local Government. Previous property management or equivalent experience is desirable; ideally you will also have a working knowledge/understanding of the relevant legislative provisions such as land use and access to council records.

Salary: Grade 12 Entry currently $1,112.79 gross per 35 week plus 9.5% superannuation and 9 day fortnight working arrangement.

2 Year Traineeship
