Public Exhibition of Draft Operational Plan 2015/2016

Each year Hawkesbury City Council outlines its activities for the coming year through an Operational Plan.

The Draft Operational Plan 2015/2016 identifies the proposed projects, programs and activities to be undertaken during 2015/2016. The Operational Plan also contains a Statement of Revenue Policy, which includes fees and charges and information regarding rates and annual charges. Estimated income and expenditure and the capital works program for 2015/2016 are also included.

The Draft Operational Plan 2015/2016 consists of two volumes:

1. Operational Plan 2015/2016 - Part 1 – outlines Projects, Programs and Activities together with Estimated Income and Expenditure
2. Operational Plan 2015/2016 - Part 2 – outlines Rates, Pricing Methodology and Borrowings together with and Fees & Charges

The draft Operational Plan 2015/2016 will be on public exhibition for the period Friday, 1 May 2015 to Monday, 1 June 2015. You can view the draft plan at Council’s Administrative Building, 366 George Street, Windsor and on Council’s website www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au and on Council’s online community engagement site www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au

Written submissions regarding the Draft Operational Plan may be made any time to Council during the exhibition period and can be sent to Council by any of the following methods:

Hawkesbury Small Business Week - June 2015

Local business is a vital contributor to our Hawkesbury community and economy, and Council is working towards supporting local business and the Hawkesbury more. An Hawkesbury Economic Development Strategy will be prepaid in the coming months to help guide our local Hawkesbury economy; and input will be sought from the business community and the general community.

During the first week of June 2015, Council will run workshops to help businesses with skills in running a business every day. Local business owners, employers and employees are welcome to attend and learn some new skills to help in running a business.

Business skills workshops provided by program partner, Hawkesbury Business Enterprise Centre.

Tender for CCTV and Lighting Works - Tender No. 00963

Tenders are invited for the installation and commissioning of CCTV and lighting for the Richmond Park Precinct, Richmond and similar works at other Council buildings in Windsor. Tenders will be received up to 10am on Tuesday, 9 June 2015.

Tender documents are available at Council’s Administration Building at 366 George Street, Windsor from Tuesday, 12 May 2015 for a non-refundable fee of $100 (incl. GST) or available free at WSROC e-tendering website at https://tenders.nsw.gov.au/wsroc/.

Tenders may only be submitted by the means described in the tender documents and must be received by the closing time. Late tenders will not be accepted.

Please note there is a compulsory site inspection on Tuesday, 26 May 2015 at Richmond Park Grandstand, March St, Richmond.

The canvassing of Councillors will automatically disqualify the applicant from the tender process.

Spatial Information Officer - IS046DM

Salary negotiable from $60,415 pa depending upon qualifications and experience plus 9.5% Superannuation. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced professional to join Council''s Spatial Information Team.

Working within a team environment and reporting to the Spatial Information Co-ordinator the role of the Spatial Information Officer is to maintain, regularly update and improve the overall integrity of Councils Spatial Information and Property Information Systems and to provide assistance in the development of the Spatial Information system.

Applicants must have a Diploma Spatial Information Services or equivalent together with demonstrated experience in Spatial Information operations and maintenance. Sound interpersonal and communication skills, previous experience in the use of mainstream Spatial Information software packages, preferably ESRI suite of products, is also essential.

Temporary Closure - Governor Phillip Reserve and Boat Ramp Bridge to Bridge Power Boat Race

Notice is given that Governor Phillip Reserve and boat ramp will be closed to the general public on Saturday, 23 and Sunday, 24 May 2015, as exclusive use has been granted to Upper Hawkesbury Power Boat Club for the Bridge to Bridge Power Boat Race.
