Operation, Maintenance and Expansion of a Landfill Gas Flare Project at Hawkesbury City Waste Management Facility - Tender No 00962

Tenders are invited for the operation, maintenance and expansion of an existing landfill gas flare system at Hawkesbury City Waste Management Facility and will be received up to 12 noon on Wednesday, 27 May 2015.

Council currently operates a flare system with around 120m3 per hour from 11 wells. A seven-year contract is proposed for the operation, maintenance and expansion of the whole landfill gas system.

Any options which leverage Carbon Farming Initiative or Emissions Reductions Funding are to be incorporated in tender submissions.

Tender documents are available at Council’s Administration Building at 366 George Street, Windsor from Tuesday, 5 May 2015 for a non-refundable fee of $100 (incl. GST) or available for free at WSROC e-tendering website at https://tenders.nsw.gov.au/wsroc/

Tenders may only be submitted by the means described in the tender documents and must be received by the closing time. Late tenders will

not be accepted.

Hawkesbury City Council has received a development application for - Replacement of roof slates with traditional material of lead batten roll cladding to the Belmont Park Mansion verandahs at the above property. The applicant is St John of God Health Care Inc. Hawkesbury City Council is the consent authority.

The development application and supporting information will be on public exhibition for the period to period 04/05/2015 to 18/05/2015. All plans and details may be inspected between 8:30am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday, at Council''s Administration Office, 366 George Street, Windsor.

During the exhibition period any person may make a submission in writing to Council in relation to the development application, quoting reference DA0186/15. Where a submission by way of objection is made, the grounds for objection are to be specified in the submission. Should you lodge a submission, your views will be taken into account as part of our assessment and a reply will be forwarded to you when the application is determined.

Please note that confidentiality is not available to objectors. The details of any submissions may be included in a Council report or forwarded to the applicant where it may help to resolve design or operational problems. Engineering Surveyor - IS049DM

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to provide accurate and relevant survey information for investigative design and construction of various projects for Council’s Works Program.

Applicants must have a Degree in Surveying or equivalent, a Class C Licence and proven experience in engineering surveying and cadastral surveys as well as the associated calculations. Experience in computer aided drafting, Landmark and Auto Cad software is also essential.

Salary:- Grade 14 with a commencing rate of pay of $1,216.48 gross per week for 35 hours plus 9.5% superannuation and the opportunity to progress through Council''s Salary System.
Excellent working conditions apply including participation in a nine-day fortnight working agreement.

Operational Assistant - Construction Maintenance - IS010CM

We are looking for an energetic and reliable person to join our Construction and Maintenance team.

You need to be a team player who is willing to undertake a range of labouring tasks in areas such as road construction and drainage, concreting, pipe laying, kerb and guttering and path paving.

It is essential that you have a WH&S General Induction Certificate; a current Driver’s Licence; a good level of fitness and are able to understand and carry out both written and verbal work instructions.

Salary negotiable from $81,500 pa depending upon qualifications and experience plus a Civil Liability Allowance of 3.5% and 9.5% Superannuation

We are seeking to appoint a Subdivision and Development Engineer to provide engineering support for the Development Services Branch.

The successful applicant will monitor and oversee engineering designs and construction works for subdivision and developments. This role is critical in providing engineering advice on a range of matters including development referrals and flooding enquiries.

To be successful in this role you must have a Degree in Civil Engineering acceptable for membership to the Institute of Engineers Australia and a current Driver’s Licence. Experience in design and rural residential development with knowledge of relevant planning legislation is essential.
