Temporary Closure - Governor Phillip Reserve and Boat Ramp

Notice is given that Governor Phillip Reserve and boat ramp will be closed to the general public on Sunday, 1 May 2016 as exclusive use has been granted to Upper Hawkesbury Power Boat Club for the 2016 Double Dash Boat Race.

Road Naming Proposals Associated with DA0794/14 and DA0255/14 Pitt Town

Notice is given that Hawkesbury City Council in accordance with the New South Wales Roads Act 1993 and by resolution dated 12 April 2016 is seeking public comment in regards to two road naming proposals associated with DA0794/14 and DA0255/14 in the suburb of Pitt Town.

The proposed names are as follows:

  • DA0794/14 – Glengarry Place, Pitt Town
  • DA0255/14 – Eden Circuit, Pitt Town

Submissions on the proposed names are invited and will be received by Council until 5.00pm on Thursday, 26 May 2016. Submissions should be addressed to the General Manager and can be mailed to PO Box 146, Windsor NSW 2756, or emailed to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au

Development Proposal

New Multi-Span Bridge Over the Grose River and Associated Roadworks at Yarramundi/Grose Wold/Agnes Banks            Hawkesbury City Council has received Development Application DA0263/16 for a Multi-Span Bridge and Associated Road Works on the land identified below. The application is an Integrated Development requiring approval under Section 201 & 219 of the Fisheries Management Act 1994, Section 58 of the Heritage Act 1977, Section 90 of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974, Section 138 of the Roads Act 1993, Rural Fires Act 1997 and Section 90 & 91 of the Water Management Act 2000. The applicants are North Richmond Joint Venture and J Wyndham Prince. The application will be considered by the Joint Regional Planning Panel.

The development application and supporting information will be on public exhibition for the period 28 April 2016 to 30 May 2016. All plans and details may be inspected between 8:30am and 5pm Monday to Friday, at Council's Administration Office, 366 George Street, Windsor.

During the exhibition period any person may make a submission in writing to Council in relation to the development application, quoting reference DA0263/16. Where a submission by way of objection is made, the grounds for objection are to be specified in the submission. Should you lodge a submission, your views will be taken into account as part of our assessment and a reply will be forwarded to you when the application is determined.

Please note that confidentiality is not available to objectors. The details of any submissions may be included in a Council report or forwarded to the applicant where it may help to resolve design or operational problems. Information (including copies of submissions) may also be released in accordance with Council Policy for Access to Information.

Under Section 147(5) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, any person who makes a submission to Council is required to disclose any political donation or gift. Any submission made is to be accompanied by a Political Donation and Gift Disclosure Statement. This statement is available from Hawkesbury City Council.

Reporting directly to the Manager Corporate Services and Governance, you will be responsible for the coordination of Council’s property management function incorporating the acquisition and sale of property, negotiation with vendor/purchasers; the management shopping centres; leasing of land/buildings; resumption of land and miscellaneous property matters including easement and road closures and openings.

As Property Service Coordinator, ideally you will have a relevant tertiary qualification in conveyancing/ property or extensive experience within a specialist real estate, public authority or a local government environment. You will demonstrate sound report writing skills, the ability to work in pressure situations and deal with confidential information. You will also need to demonstrate a high level of customer service, supervisory and organisational skills.

Tender No. 00977 - Additions and Refurbishments - Blaxlands Ridge Rural Fire Service Shed

Tenders are invited for additions and refurbishments to Blaxlands Ridge Rural Fire Service shed and will be received up to 3pm on Tuesday, 17 May 2016.

Works include the construction of a new three bay shed attached to the existing structure inclusive of a mezzanine level to one bay and associated works. The brigades existing training room facilities are to be extended and modified including the extension of a suspended concrete floor, new internal walls, joinery and services work as required.

Tenders are invited for the hire and maintenance of the Landfill Plant at Hawkesbury City Waste Management Facility and will be received up to 2pm on Thursday, 26 May 2016.

The tender is seeking competitive quotations for the hire and maintenance of a Landfill Compactor, Excavator, Track Loader, and Water Tanker for an initial contract period of three years, with optional extensions up to a total contract period of seven years.
