Tenders may only be submitted by the means described in the tender documents and must be received by the closing time. Late tenders will not be accepted.

Draft Voluntary Planning Agreement for Lot 12 DP 1021340, 21 Hall Street, Pitt Town

Council is exhibiting a draft Voluntary Planning Agreement (draft VPA) that will apply to Lot 12 DP 1021340, 21 Hall Street, Pitt Town.

The draft VPA is complementary to a Development Application (Council reference DA0832/14) for the staged subdivision of the subject land to create 11 residential allotments and one open space allotment.

The objective, nature and effect of the draft VPA is for the Developer to provide Council with a cash contribution of $13.57 per square metre of each residential allotment. The contributions collected by Council are to be expended on the provision of stormwater infrastructure including land acquisition, trunk drainage and basin construction.

The draft VPA, an Explanatory Note and other supporting documentation are on public exhibition 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday at the Council offices, 366 George Street, Windsor for the period Friday 13 May 2016 to Monday 13 June 2016 and can be viewed on Council’s website or on Council’s online community engagement site.

Interested persons are invited to inspect the draft VPA, Explanatory Note and other supporting documentation. Written submissions concerning the provisions in the draft VPA may be made to Council throughout the abovementioned exhibition period. Submissions should be referenced “Lot 12 DP 1021340, 21 Hall Street, Pitt Town VPA” and can be posted to Hawkesbury City Council, PO Box 146, WINDSOR NSW 2756, faxed to (02) 4587 7740, or emailed to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au throughout the exhibition period.

The last day for the receipt of submissions is Monday 13 June 2016.

Development Proposal

New Multi-Span Bridge over the Grose River and Associated Roadworks at Yarramundi/Grose Wold/Agnes Banks

Hawkesbury City Council has received Development Application DA0263/16 for a Multi-Span Bridge and Associated Road Works on the land identified below. The application is an Integrated Development requiring approval under Section 201 & 219 of the Fisheries Management Act 1994, Section 58 of the Heritage Act 1977, Section 90 of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974, Section 138 of the Roads Act 1993, Rural Fires Act 1997 and Section 90 & 91 of the Water Management Act 2000. The applicants are North Richmond Joint Venture and J Wyndham Prince. The application will be considered by the Joint Regional Planning Panel.

We are looking for a motivated competent person to provide administration support to our Operational staff based at Council’s Works Depot.

To be successful in this role you must have previous experience in an office environment, with sound PC skills - including MS Office and corporate systems software and databases, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and the flexibility to adapt to a wide range of tasks. A certificate level qualification in office administration or equivalent is also required.

Salary;- Grade 8, commencing rate of pay of $960.58 gross per week for 35 hours, plus 9.5% Superannuation. Excellent working conditions apply, including a 9 day fortnight working arrangement.

We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced and skilled Events & Community Engagement Coordinator to help establish the Hawkesbury as an event friendly destination and to support and develop Council’s events and community engagement programs.

You will be working within a small but dynamic Corporate Communication Team. You will assist in coordinating Council’s events programs and be responsible for building and administering processes to ensure that the City delivers quality, successful and sustainable events. You will be responsible for Council’s online community engagement site and events Facebook page. You will also provide support with general public relations and media relations. The successful applicant will assist and encourage external and internal event organisers to realise events that will add vibrancy to our many towns and villages and capitalise on the rich opportunities that the Hawkesbury offers.

To be successful in the role we are looking for a professional with demonstrated experience in event management and community engagement programs preferably within a government setting. Applicants will be responsible for liaising with both internal and external stakeholders and therefore must have strong communication and negotiation skills, be highly organised, able to work independently, have excellent IT skills and be across all social media platforms. Photography and or graphic design skills are desirable but are not a requirement for the position. Tertiary qualifications in Event Management or in Communications, Public Relations or a related field are essential.

Operational Supervisor - IS019PR

We currently have a vacancy for an Operational Supervisor to join our Parks and Gardens Branch. This position plays an important role in co-ordinating and supervising staff while carrying out parks maintenance, construction programs and street pruning.

Applicants must have a Horticulture (Arboriculture) Certificate or equivalent, or have demonstrated relevant work experience, Chainsaw Certificate, Chemical Application Certificate, a MR Drivers' Licence; a Construction Induction Certificate and a Manual Handling Certificate.

Applicants will be highly regarded if they have Elevated Work Platform Certificate, Bush regeneration Certificate and Traffic Control.

Previous supervisory experience, good communication and teamwork skills, together with a sound knowledge of arboriculture/horticulture is also required.

Commencing Salary: Grade 10, $1043.84 gross per 38 hour week, plus an allowance of $14.20 per week, 9.5% superannuation and the opportunity to progress through Council's Salary System.

Code of Meeting Practice - JR 0554

At its meeting on 12 April 2016, Council resolved to place its existing Code of Meeting Practice on public exhibition, in accordance with the Local Government Act 1993, seeking submissions for any amendments to the Code.
