Tenders are invited for painting and roof cleaning and will be received up to 11am on Tuesday, 29 November 2016.

Council is seeking suitably qualified companies to provide painting and roof cleaning of various Council sites as detailed in the tender document.

Tender documents are available from Tuesday, 8 November 2016 free at WSROC e-tendering website or at Council's Administration Building at 366 George Street, Windsor for a non-refundable fee of $100 (incl. GST).

Tenders may only be submitted by the means described in the tender documents and must be received by the closing time. Late tenders will not be accepted.

The canvassing of Councillors will automatically disqualify the applicant from the tender process.

Hawkesbury City Council is looking for community groups, churches, sporting organisations and schools that hold events for Christmas to be part of a Christmas Calendar of events for the Hawkesbury.

The program of events will be publicised through Council’s channels and will include advertisements, flyers and banners.

Promoting Christmas events in the calendar provides organisations the unique opportunity to reach a wider audience and it is FREE. It is also a positive opportunity to promote events in the Hawkesbury to our surrounding communities.

Consulting the Community

Exhibition of Planning Proposal - Lot 4 DP 503048, 18 James Street, South Windsor       Council is exhibiting a planning proposal affecting Lot 4 DP 503048, 18 James Street, South Windsor (the subject site).

The main objective of the planning proposal is to rezone the subject site from SP2 Infrastructure to R2 Low Density Residential under the provisions of Hawkesbury Local Environmental 2012 (the LEP) to allow development of the subject site for residential purposes. The planning proposal aims to achieve this intended outcome by amending the Land Zoning Map of the LEP (Map Ref No - 3800_COM_LZN_008DA) to change the zoning of the subject site to R2 Low Density Residential.

The planning proposal and other supporting documentation is on public exhibition for the period Friday 11 November 2016 to Monday 12 December 2016.

The planning proposal and other supporting documentation can be viewed during the exhibition period on Council’s website, on Council’s online community engagement site www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au, or between 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday at Council’s Administration Office, 366 George Street, Windsor.

Major Plant Operator – Waste Landfill Operations - IS042WM

We are looking for two experienced heavy plant operators for Hawkesbury City Waste Management Facility. This position requires the operation of heavy plant, including Landfill Compactors, Excavators, Track Loaders, Water Trucks and other plant; along with field work associated with the landfilling operations, such as litter control, yard maintenance, customer service and much more!

To be successful in this role you must have previous experience in earthmoving operations or similar activities, be physically fit to suit the position, have good verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. It is essential that you have a current MR Drivers Licence, WorkCover WHS Induction Certificate plus significant experience operating heavy plant.

Salary: - Grade 8, commencing rate at $987.48 gross per week + Adverse Working Conditions Allowance of $39.90 gross per week + 9.5% superannuation. The position involves working a four week rotational roster which includes regular weekend shifts; paid at penalty rates in accordance with the Award.

Public Hearing: Categorisation of future Community Lands in the North Richmond Release Area

All future community land within the North Richmond Release Area, including an area of cultural significance, is to be formally categorised in order to determine the relevant management objectives for the land
