Temporary Closure - Governor Phillip Park and Boat Ramp

Notice is given that Governor Phillip Park and boat ramp will be closed to the general public on Saturday, 26 and Sunday, 27 November 2016 as exclusive use has been granted to NSW Water Ski Federation for the Bridge to Bridge Water Ski Classic.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer, this position is responsible for coordinating the completion of Council’s Annual Financial Reports, overseeing the maintenance of Council’s general ledger and the provision of supervision and guidance to the Asset Officer and Finance Trainee. The position will also conduct financial accounting processes and operations as required.

The successful candidate will have a Tertiary qualification in accounting, financial management, commerce or business, with sound computer skills and thorough knowledge of relevant accounting standards and related legislation. This person will also have demonstrated analytical skills, well-developed communication skills as well as the ability to clearly explain financial information.

Council is seeking qualified planning professional to join our Development Services team for a temporary placement. The position involves assessing, processing and managing a range of development applications as well as advice and guidance to the public and development industry.

The successful applicant must have a degree or be in the final year of part time study for Town/Urban & Regional Planning or other appropriate Town Planning qualification together with a sound knowledge of the relevant Acts.

Wastewater Operator IS036WM

Excellent working conditions
9 Day Fortnight

You will be required to assist with a range of general labouring and maintenance duties associated with the operation of Council's sewerage reticulation system, sewage treatment plants and pumping stations.

Applicants must have a WH&S General Induction Certification, a Class C Drivers Licence and an aptitude in the maintenance of mechanical equipment. Ideally you should also have previous work experience in the sewerage field or construction/building industry.

This position requires participation in weekend overtime work and on call duty roster. Applicants must be willing to obtain a Class MR Licence, Confined Space Entry Certification and Crane Licence within the first 6 months of employment.

Salary: - Grade 6, with a commencing rate of pay of $912.13 gross per 38 hour week plus an Industry Allowance of $39.90 per week and 9.5% superannuation.

Proposed amendments to the Code of Meeting Practice - JR 0554

At its meeting on 25 October 2016, Council decided that it would like to make a number of amendments to the Council’s Code of Meeting Practice.

The revised Code, including these proposed amendments may be viewed on Council’s website at www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au or at Council’s office. Submissions, in writing, in relation to the proposed amendments are invited and will be received up to and including 30 December 2016. Submissions should be addressed to the Acting General Manager, Hawkesbury City Council, PO Box 146, Windsor NSW 2756 or can be faxed to (02) 4587 7740 or emailed to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au. Council will consider all submissions at a subsequent Council meeting.

Should you lodge a submission, it will be considered, along with any other submissions received. Public Hearing: Categorisation of future Community Lands in the North Richmond Release Area All future community land within the North Richmond Release Area is to be formally categorised in order to determine the relevant management objectives for the land.

A Public Hearing and community meeting will be held at the North Richmond Community Centre, William Street, North Richmond from 7-8pm on Wednesday, 23 November 2016.

Have your say about how the future community land (parks and reserves) within the North Richmond Release Area are to be categorised/managed.
