Splash into Richmond Swimming Centre – opens 24 September

Just in time for the start of the spring school holidays, Richmond Swimming Centre will open for the spring/summer season on Saturday, 24 September, ensuring all families can make the most of the school holidays.

Thermal pool covers will be applied from the beginning of the pool season to keep the water temperature enjoyable. After a successful trial last season the Centre will extend opening hours to 7pm on weekdays from 10 October, allowing residents to again take advantage of daylight savings.

This season Richmond Swimming Centre will offer swimming lessons for pre-school and school aged children from the first week of school in Term 4, squad options, club nights, swim carnival training as well as lap swimming (this may be limited during heavy school bookings).

With large open spaces, a half size basketball court, shaded toddlers pool and shaded children’s playground, Richmond Swimming Centre is the perfect place to hold family gatherings, sporting and community group event.

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced person to provide support to the Construction & Maintenance Branch in asset management; supervision of contracts; program works; bridge assessments and general office duties.

The successful candidate must have an Engineering Certificate or equivalent relevant experience, a Class C driver's licence and Work cover WHS General Induction for Construction Work in NSW. The successful applicant must also have proven experience in civil works – construction and maintenance regarding roads, drainage, traffic facilities and also require extensive knowledge of Sign requirements in relation to the RMS and Australian standards.

This person must also have previous experience in the supervision of contractors for road and concrete works as well as basic computer skills and good verbal and written communication skills.
