Library Officer - Community Education & Interlibrary Loans - SS093LS

Council is seeking an innovative and suitably qualified Library Officer. Based in Windsor, with a branch library in Richmond, this position will contribute to providing responsive, high quality, friendly and efficient library and information services relevant to the needs of the Hawkesbury community.

The primary purpose of this role is to develop, deliver and promote library user training programs to raise community awareness of, and increase client independence and interest in, the Library’s collections and services. This position is also required to Monitor and process both incoming and outgoing Inter Library Loan requests through Libraries Australia so that items are delivered as efficiently as possible.

The successful applicant must have a Diploma of Library and Information Services or equivalent, C class drivers Licence. Good interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to deliver diverse training for all members of the public are essential.

Salary- Grade 8, commencing rate of pay of $592.49 gross per week for 21 hours, plus 9.5% Superannuation.

Weighbridge Operator – Weekend Work - IS040WM

Hawkesbury City Waste Management Facility is a combined landfill and recycling facility located in South Windsor. The facility primarily operates to serve the Hawkesbury Community and will move through a period of change and update in services in the short to medium term to benefit the community further.

The successful candidate should have experience in weighbridge operations, accounts management and cash handling, have strong customer service skills, and have experience in managing and dealing with conflict. The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends on Saturday and Sunday. There may be casual shifts available during the week.

Rate of Pay:- Hourly rates include weekend loadings Saturday $45.99 per hour, Sunday $61.32 per hour.

Hawkesbury City Library Service is looking for enthusiastic, experienced and reliable casual staff to join the Library team. Applicants for both positions must be available to work at short notice including weekend and evening work at both Windsor and Richmond Libraries.

Casual Library Assistants

$32.58 per hour (includes casual loading)

Essential requirements include HSC or equivalent work experience, demonstrated customer service experience, excellent communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to work as part of a team. Computer knowledge and data entry skills as well as accuracy, attention to detail and time management skills are also essential.

Desirable position requirements/certificates include previous public library experience or similar environment and Class C Drivers Licence.

Casual Library Officers

$35.27 per hour (includes casual loading)

Essential requirements include a Diploma in Library and Information Services or significant completion or equivalent.

Other requirements for this position include demonstrated customer service skills, excellent communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to work as part of a team. Excellent computer knowledge, word processing and keyboard skills as well as accuracy and attention to detail and information research and retrieval skills are also essential.

Desirable position requirements/certificates include previous public library experience and Class C Drivers Licence.

Request for Offer to use the Wagon in Windsor Mall Street Vending Consent

Hawkesbury City Council invites interested individuals, organisations and businesses to submit an offer for the use of the Wagon located adjacent to 168 George Street, Windsor for a period of up to seven years. Submissions will open on Friday, 24 February 2017 and will be received up to 4:30pm on Friday, 31 March 2017.

Submissions will be assessed against a number of criteria aligned with Council’s key strategies, as well as legislative and regulatory frameworks.

Request for Offer (RFO) applications must address all criteria described in Council’s RFO document and must be received by the closing time. Late submissions will not be accepted.

All proposals must be clearly marked “RFO – Windsor Mall Wagon” and delivered/sent to Council by 4:30pm on or before Friday, 31 March 2017 through any of the following means:

  1. Placed in the Tender Box located in the main foyer at: Hawkesbury City Council Administration Building, 366 George Street, Windsor
  2. Emailed to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au (Attention: Property Services Coordinator) prior to the specified closing time.
