As part of the Development Services team you will undertake building inspections for compliance with the Building Code of Australia, process development applications to ensure compliance with legislation and Council policies and issue Construction Certificates. Desirably the successful applicant will have experience in Pool Inspections and Fire Safety inspections together with A3 accreditation.

Energetic and team orientated, you must have relevant tertiary qualifications, accreditation under the NSW Building Professionals Board Council Accreditation Scheme; a current drivers licence, together with demonstrated building surveying experience. Excellent customer service skills, problem solving and analytical abilities are also necessary.

Corporate Business Systems Helpdesk Officer - SS035IS

We currently have an opportunity for Business Support/Helpdesk Officer to join our Information Services Team.

In this role you will be the first line of contact for users by providing Helpdesk support. Your typical duties will include; call response, business application support, hardware faults, customer support of programs on PC’s and LAN and administration support to the IT team.

The person we are seeking will preferably have demonstrated experience in an IT support role, hold tertiary qualifications/certifications in IT, possess skills in Windows environments and be conversant with MS Office software. You must also have strong problem solving skills, be an effective communicator and committed to providing outstanding customer support. Above all you will need to be hands-on, flexible, and enjoy meeting the challenges of supporting a busy IT Team. Knowledge of the TechnologyOne software including FinanceOne, Property and Rating and ECM records management would be an advantage.

Salary: - Grade 12, $1174.83 gross per 35 hour week plus superannuation and the opportunity to progress through Council’s Salary System.

Council is seeking qualified planning professional to join our Development Services team for a temporary placement. The position involves assessing, processing and managing a range of development applications as well as advice and guidance to the public and development industry.

The successful applicant must have a degree or be in the final year of part time study for Town/Urban & Regional Planning or other appropriate Town Planning qualification together with a sound knowledge of the relevant Acts.

An attractive salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant commensurate with qualifications, skills and experience.

Road Naming Proposal Associated with DA0508/16 and S960136/16 Blaxlands Ridge - JR 0554

Roads Act 1993

Notice is given that Hawkesbury City Council in accordance with the New South Wales Roads Act 1993 and by resolution dated 28 February 2017 is seeking public comment in regards to a road naming proposal associated with DA0508/16 and S960136/16 Blaxlands Ridge.

The proposed name is: Barton Place, Blaxlands Ridge

Submissions on the proposed name are invited and will be received by Council until 5.00pm on Wednesday, 19 April 2017. Submissions should be addressed to the General Manager and can be mailed to PO Box 146, Windsor NSW 2756, or emailed to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au
