Provision of Minor Works - Roads and Drainage - Tender No T00055

Tenders are invited for the Selective Maintenance of Roads and Drainage and will be received up to 3pm on Thursday, 30 March 2017.

Works involve the supply of all plant and labour required for the general maintenance of road shoulders, verges and storm water drainage as requested by the Works Superintendent.

Tender documents are available free at WSROC e-tendering website at https://tenders.nsw.gov.au/wsroc/ or at Council’s Administration Building at 366 George Street, Windsor from 08/03/2017 2013 for a non-refundable fee of $100 (incl. GST).

Tenders may only be submitted by the means described in the tender documents and must be received by the closing time. Late tenders will not be accepted.

The canvassing of Councillors will automatically disqualify the applicant from the tender process.

Consulting the Community

Draft Redbank Precinct Community Land Plan of Management and Peel Park Master Plan

The draft Plan of Management for Community Land within the Redbank Precinct at North Richmond is now available for public comment. This plan sets guidelines for the future permitted usage and management of the reserves, including a Master Plan for the proposed development of Peel Park. Additionally, names for future reserves are proposed and comment is sought on appropriate names for the reserve along Redbank Creek.

The Draft Plan can be viewed at Council's Administration Office at 366 George Street, Windsor; Windsor Central Library; Richmond Library; and via Council's website at www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au

Integrated Development Proposal

Hawkesbury City Council has received a development application for a Child care centre, Food & Drink Premises, Car Park, Signage and Landscaping at the above property. The applicant is Isaac Property Developments Pty Ltd and Hawkesbury City Council is the consent authority.

The proposed development is defined as integrated development under Section 91 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 because an approval under the Water Management Act 2000 and Rural Fires Act 1997 is required. The approval bodies are the NSW Office of Water and the NSW Rural Fire service.

The development application and supporting information will be on public exhibition for the period 09/03/2017 to 08/04/2017. All plans and details may be inspected between 8:30am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday, at Council's Administration Office, 366 George Street, Windsor.

During the exhibition period any person may make a submission in writing to Council in relation to the development application, quoting reference DA0078/17. Should you lodge a submission, your views will be taken into account as part of our assessment and a reply will be forwarded to you when the application is determined.

The details of any submissions may be included in a Council report or forwarded to the applicant where it may help to resolve design or operational problems. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer, this position is responsible for coordinating the completion of Council’s Annual Financial Reports, overseeing the maintenance of Council’s general ledger, responsibility for Council’s asset registers and the provision of supervision and guidance to the Asset Officer and Finance Trainee. The position will also conduct financial accounting processes and operations as required.

The successful candidate will have a Tertiary qualification in accounting, financial management, commerce or business, with sound computer skills and thorough knowledge of relevant accounting standards and related legislation. This person will also have demonstrated analytical skills, well-developed communication skills as well as the ability to clearly explain financial information.

This is a great opportunity for a versatile, customer focused person to support the Branch Manager and Senior Property Officer to manage Council’s property portfolio and various administrative duties. This position provides services and assistance in a range of administrative functions including property management, property acquisitions and processing applications for access to council records in accordance with the Government Information (Public Access) Act.

To be successful in this role you must have a Real Estate Certificate or equivalent; good computer and administrative skills; a current Class C Drivers Licence and demonstrated property experience, preferably in Local Government. Ideally you will also have a working knowledge/understanding of the relevant legislative provisions such as land use and access to council records. An understanding of computer systems and applications is also essential.
