Public Exhibition of Draft Supplementary Resourcing Strategy 2017-2027, and Draft Supplementary Delivery Program 2017-2021

Following a three stage inter-connected Fit For The Future community engagement process including Listening to Our Community – Council Services, The Hawkesbury 2036 It’s Our Future, and Investing in Your Future the following key documents have been prepared in order to resource the future:

  • Draft Supplementary Resourcing Strategy 2017–2027
  • Draft Supplementary Delivery Program 2017–2021

The Draft Supplementary Resourcing Strategy 2017–2027 consists of three interrelated elements including Long Term Financial Planning, Asset Management Planning and Workforce Planning. The

The Draft Supplementary Resourcing Strategy 2017–2027 consists of three interrelated elements including Long Term Financial Planning, Asset Management Planning and Workforce Planning.

The Draft Supplementary Resourcing Strategy 2017–2027 also plays a role in resourcing the achievement of the Draft Supplementary Delivery Program 2017–2021 and future Operational Plans. The Draft Supplementary Delivery Program 2017–2021 turns the strategic goals within the Hawkesbury Community Strategic Plan 2017–2036 into actions. It is Council’s commitment to the Community Strategic Plan and details which issues within its area of responsibility that Council will act upon during its four year term of office.

Dry Fitness / Aqua Instructor

Over 50s Gentle Exercise and Aqua Aerobics Program at Richmond Swimming Centre

Hawkesbury City Council is Seeking an Expression of Interest for suitably qualified contractor/s to plan and conduct an “ARI (Aquatics & Recreation Institute) Staying Active” Program for the 2017/2018 Summer Season.

The Program will include both Dry Gentle Exercise Classes and Aqua Fitness Classes on a weekly basis between the Months of November and April. These sessions will be specifically targeted to Persons over the age of 50 years.

Suitably qualified instructors will need to hold the following minimum accreditations:

Cert III in Fitness, or

WETS Aqua Instructor

Fitness Australia Exercise Professional Registration, or

AUSTWIM WETS Accreditation

They would desirably hold the following accreditation / experience:

Competency unit SISFFIT314-A – Plan and Deliver Exercise to older clients with managed conditions

Experience in providing exercise classes to over 50s.

The Contractor will need to have an ABN and Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurances.

Intermediate Plant Operator - Parks & Gardens - IS023PR

We are looking for an experienced Plant Operator to join our Parks & Gardens Branch.

Working as part of a small team your duties will include, but not limited to tree work, mowing, brush cutting, construction and maintenance activities such as installing bollards, irrigation work and path paving. You must have an MR Licence; a WH&S General Induction Certification; good interpersonal/teamwork skills to promote a positive public image.

Applicants with previous work experience in the tree industry will be highly regarded.

Salary:- Grade 6 with a commencing rate of pay of $933.56 gross per 38 hour week plus an Industry Allowance of $15.58 per week, superannuation and the opportunity to progress through Council's Salary System.

Technical and Restorations Officer - IS076CM

Salary from $62,500 pa

+ 9.5% super + 9 day fortnight

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced person to provide support to the Construction & Maintenance Branch in asset management; supervision of contracts; program works; bridge assessments and general office duties.

The successful candidate must have an Engineering Certificate or equivalent relevant experience, a Class C licence and Work cover WHS General Induction for Construction Work in NSW. The successful applicant must also have proven experience in civil works – construction and maintenance regarding roads, drainage and traffic facilities including flood mitigation and concrete works.

This person must also have previous experience in the supervision of contractors for road and concrete works as well as basic computer skills and good verbal and written communication skills.
