Community Consultation on Waste Education

Hawkesbury City Council is undertaking a community consultation project. The purpose of this project is to better understand residents' attitudes to waste and recycling.

The broad objectives of this consultation project include the following:

  • To understand residents' reception and response to waste promotional activities
  • To understand the community's motivations and barriers towards waste and recycling practices
  • To understand factors that encourage or deter learning and action, for example preferred communication channels and activities
  • To improve waste education and community engagement

A random telephone survey was completed in May 2015, and an online survey via Council's Engagement HQ forum has commenced.

You can provide the information we need to help develop better waste and recycling programs. Click on the link below to undertake the online survey for your chance to win a $250 Coles Myer Gift Voucher.
