Mobile phones contain small amounts of potentially hazardous substances which if not disposed of correctly, can harm the environment. Over 90% of the plastics and metals in mobile phones, batteries and accessories can be recovered and used to make new products such as stainless steel, plastic fence posts and jewellery.

Disposal Method

Drop off your unused mobile phone and accessories for free at:

  • Hawkesbury City Council – 366 George Street, Windsor
  • Hawkesbury Library Service – Deerubbin Centre, 300 George Street, Windsor
  • Hawkesbury Library Service – 29 West Market Street, Richmond
  • Most Australia Post outlets (where you can also pick up a recycling satchel for free postage)

HOUSEHOLD QUANTITIES ONLY. Businesses are encouraged to set up their own free recycling service for this material.
