Mayoral Column

Council is consulting with our community about Parks, specifically Fernadell Park in Pitt Town, Colbee Park in McGraths Hill and the Draft Masterplan for Deerubbin Park in Windsor. I encourage you to have your say about our parks either in person at a community drop in session, online or by post.

You can have your say about any of these at www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au or email council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au or by post to PO Box 146, Windsor NSW 2756.

The Fernadell Park drop in session will be at Fernadell Drive, Pitt Town on Saturday, 14 September, from 10am to midday. Consultation for this park will close on Thursday, 10 October 2019.

The Colbee Park drop-in session will be held at Colbee Park, Old Hawkesbury Road, McGraths Hill on Saturday, 21 September 2019 from 9am to 11am. Consultation for this park will close on Tuesday, 24 September.

Feedback from the above community consultations will help to prepare a Draft Masterplans for the areas which will guide how the parks will be used and developed in the future.

For Deerubbin Park in Windsor (Cornwallis), there is now a Draft Masterplan available for public comment until Friday, 27 September 2019.This plan provides a long term vision for the park which will improve the general amenity, functionality and capacity of the site.

Some of the opportunities that have been identified include improving the connection to the Hawkesbury River, upgrading and realigning sporting fields, improved parking and access, a dog off leash area and more shade. Visit www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au for more details.
